May 6, 1923 - May 9, 2021
Died unexpectedly, but peacefully in her sleep on Mother’s Day 5/9/21, after celebrating her 98th birthday three days earlier with her family. Born May 6, 1923, she was preceded in death by parents Esther and Oswald Stocke, brother Jim (Maren) Stocke, and survived by her loving husband, John (Bud) Anderson of 73+ years, sons, John (Nancy McEvers) Anderson of San Francisco, Bryan (Joan) Anderson of Minneapolis, daughter Susan (Jim) Lindvall of Richfield, grandchildren, Iain (Elizabeth Dutra) Anderson, Nicholas (Ashley Guo) Anderson, Judd Anderson, Casey Anderson, Jenna (Tim) Greeno, Erin (Jared) Carr, Kial (Riley) Nelson, Johanna Lindvall and 11 great grandchildren.
The isolation of Covid was hard but she pushed through with Bud by her side, regularly calling others to check in on them, all the while never complaining of her own restricted situation. She was a wonderful example of living in contentment, assured of her salvation in Jesus. Louise loved her family and they dearly loved her. Following her vaccination, she happily resumed having company for meals and games. She was always up for a round of dominoes.
Louise was a graduate of the University of Mn and taught Home Economics at Minnehaha Academy until her first son was born. Louise’s faith in God and love for others compelled her to be a lifelong volunteer at Park Ave Methodist Church, Hope Presbyterian, The American Swedish Institute, Minnehaha Academy Auxiliary and Edina Young Life Committee. She never showed her true age, as she optimistically carried on her household chores, cooking, reached out to others via the mail and phone calls, and frequently provided meals to relieve her busy family members.
The service will also be livestreamed at http://live.hope-pc.org
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given as scholarship gifts to Hope Shores Bible Camp or Richfield Young Life Campers.

I was so sorry to hear of Louise’s passing. She was a caring friend who reached out to others so genuinely. I remember being invited to the Andersons’ Thanksgiving gathering one year before I was married. It meant a lot to me. Louise was both strong and gentle at the same time. I thank the Lord for the privilege of knowing this wonderful woman of faith.
