M. Joan Hodges, age 86, of Edina, passed away on December 28, 2016. Retired nurse, interior designer and painter. Survived by husband, Kenneth V. Hodges, MD; children, Mark Hodges, Robert Hodges (Kathy), and Rev. Cynthia Aasen (Steven); grandchildren, Lauren and Connor Hodges and John Aasen; sister, Frances McKenzie, of Parry Sound, Ont., Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald McKenzie and Cynthia (Sadler) McKenzie and step-mother, Elsie McKenzie.

Joan was a beautiful and talented woman. She had a sense of humor that surpassed none. She will be sorely missed by many people . I had the pleasure of meeting her several times, and her clone is her daughter Pastor Cindy. Peace and love to her beloved husband Ken and children.
