June 27, 1927 - December 17, 2022
Marilyn C. Romsaas, age 95, of Bloomington. Passed away peacefully on December 17 with loving family by her side. Marilyn had a kind heart and welcomed everyone and anyone into her home with open arms. She loved to cook, travel, play slots, listen to polka and dance the night away. She was quite the talker and loved to tell stories, which served her well as a receptionist. She truly cherished time with her family and friends. Preceded in death by the love of her life, John A. Romsaas; brother Eldon Hughes, parents, Thomas and Anne Hughes, and other loved ones. Survived by her second husband, LeRoy Johnson; daughters and their husbands, Jennifer (Steve) Warner, Jann (Randy) Emerson and Judy (Lee) Horning; grandchildren, Darci, Bill, Bryan, Kelley, Lindsey Tony, Sam and Abby; also by 10 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the caregivers at Village Shores for their outstanding compassion and love give to Marilyn at the end of her life.
Memorials may be directed to Bethel Lutheran Church, Lifespark Hospice or Parkinson's Research.

I have known Marilyn since 1983 when I went to work at Mutual Benefit Life at
6600 France Ave S Edina. I hung out with her and three other gals Karen. Kay and Avis. Marilyn always had a story to tell with her smiling face. I had met her first husband John he worked at Dayton’s Home store. I will miss her and I always tried to call her once a year to update her on her former co workers.
Marilyn was always a warm and loving to everyone she knew. Although, I’ve only known her since she married my uncle Leroy, she always cared about my family and all the extended sisters, nieces, nephews and families like they were people she had known all her life. She always made me smile and she often held my hand in compassion. She called my mother regularly and had a heart of gold. I will miss you dearly, sweet Marilyn.
My condolences on the loss of your mother Judy.
I happened across this page as I was looking for a friend’s obituary.
My father is 90 and in home hospice right now.

Marilyn was my father Murray’s cousin. Always friendly and so easy to chat with. Weddings and funerals on the Jacobson side gave opportunities to catch up.she attended my father’s memorial service in 2014. Our condolences to the girls and their families.
