MaryJayne Larson (née Huberty)
Age 91, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, in Richfield, Minnesota.
Born on October 25, 1933, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, MaryJayne was the daughter of Gertrude and Al Huberty. She grew up with a strong sense of family and faith, values that guided her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Greg and Bob.
MaryJayne’s greatest joy and accomplishment was raising her five children—Scott (Mary), Steve (Kim), Gary (Kim), Julie (Mark) Baribeau, and Gregg (Kristie). She took immense pride in ensuring they were well cared for, always getting them off to school, preparing home-cooked meals every night, and driving them to their various activities. Her devotion extended beyond her immediate family as she cherished the time spent with her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. One of her greatest pleasures was attending their many activities, always cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm.
For 67 years, MaryJayne shared a loving marriage with her husband, Dennis. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
A woman of deep faith, MaryJayne was a devoted Catholic and follower of Jesus. Her faith guided her actions and inspired her to give back to others through volunteer work at numerous charities. In addition to her dedication to family and faith, MaryJayne found joy in many hobbies. She had a passion for puzzles of all kinds—crossword, crypto quip, jigsaw, and Sudoku were among her favorites. She also enjoyed cross-stitching and baking, often sharing homemade treats with loved ones.
MaryJayne’s legacy is one of love, devotion, and kindness. Her unwavering commitment to family and faith will be remembered by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
Funeral date/times are pending...
While I never had the pleasure of meeting MaryJayne, I have the privilege of calling her son Scott my friend. If Scott is anything like his mom then she was a special lady indeed.
My condolences to the entire Larson Family on the loss of a wife, mother, friend and kind soul.
