Matilda 'Tillie' (Gallus) Hagen
Age 83, of Bloomington/Richfield, passed away on June 28, 2022.
Tillie was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and loyal friend to many. She spent 34 years working as an ICU nurse at St. Mary’s/Fairview and was a member of the Nativity of Mary Church. Tillie cherished her friendships from nursing, the golfing and bowling leagues, bridge clubs and the Nativity of Mary parish community.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Diane) Hagen, Bob (Cynthia) Hagen, Jim (Raelyn) Hagen and Tom (Nicki) Hagen; grandchildren, Jeff Hagen, Jon (Danielle) Hagen, Ali Hagen and Matt Hagen; great-grandchild, Oliver; brother, Peter (Vicki) Gallus; sister-in-law, Irene Gallus and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hagen; parents, John and Mathilda Gallus; brothers, John and George; and sister, Clementine Patrick.

I am so sorry for the loss of Tillie. I have great memories of Earl and Tillie back to when they married. I was the flower girl in their wedding. I will always remember how guests put a ball and chain on earl’s leg at the wedding. They locked the lock and threw the key out into the road. Earl was a smart guy! He offered a $1 reward to whoever found the key. The kids found the key in no time!
My mom and Tillie were always close cousins. I am so sorry to hear of another member of that generation passing.
