Michael Sandell "Mike", age 68. of Richfield, Mnnesota passed away on July 1, 2022. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1972. He will always be remembered as a loving husband and father and a loyal friend to many. His biggest joy was sharing his talent playing drums in several bands, going back to the 70s. Mike is survived by his son, Matthew Sandell; sister, Nancy (Daniel) Pumper, sister-in-law, Mary (John) Anderson, nephews Mark Sandell, Chris Greene and Ben Kittleson; nieces, Jana Greene, Anne (Greg) Jeneary, and Whitney (Justin) Otto; several grand-nephews and nieces and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lynn (Bernier) Sandell; dear wife, Christine Kittleson and brother, Steve Sandell.

Much love to all his family and friends who are grieving his passing. He was such a wonderful soul.
Mike was my first friend in my life. We were 3 houses from each other on 16th Ave in Richfield. Discovering play together and the world was marvelous. He had a metal car you could sit in and peddle to move around – so cool! Riding bikes together. He was 3+ months older than me so he entered kindergarten a year ahead of me. Oh how I wished I had been old enough to discover school with him. So sad when he moved early in our grade school years. But so memorable as a great friend to help me grow.
We had lost touch, but he was incredibly kind to me when he showed up at my dad’s funeral to give me comfort and support in 1989. I’m so thankful for the memories of his kindness, energy and friendship.
Prayers of comfort and strength to all whose lives he touched. Much goodness to family and friends. May the positive memories continue to lift you and support you, especially when needed most. Keep the joys of his smiles and spirit with you in all the adventures ahead. I apologize I am unable to attend the celebration of life on the 8th.
