Miriam M. Gunnarson, age 94, of Minneapolis. Parents were Chester A. and Ethel M. (Yetter) Gunnarson; step-mother, Minnie (McGrath) Gunnarson. Survived by her cousin, Jean Probst. Preceded in death by her cousins, Robert Anderson and Phyllis Gunnarson. She was born in Minneapolis, went to school in Cannon Falls and graduated from high school in Warren, MN. In 1943 she graduated from Hamline university, cum laude, with a major in English. After teaching high school English for several years she spent 2 years in Japan working for the U.S. Government. The remainder of her career was spent with the Mpls. Public Library. Miriam was deeply interested in the lives of the members of her extended family, never failing to remember birthdays and anniversaries - always thoughtful and generous. She had many life-long friendships she valued deeply. She was an avid reader, with a keen sense of humor and fierce streak of independence. She will be missed by all who knew her.
