Orvilla Marks

Orvilla Marks, 98 years old of Minneapolis, passed away on Nov 14. 2021. Born Sept 13, 1923 on a farm in Lester Prairie, MN to Herman Julius Marks and Maria Louise (Moenke) Marks. As the youngest of 10 children, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by many nieces, nephews and their children. Graduated in 1942 from Lester Prairie High School as class valedictorian. Attended Humboldt Business School and after several jobs worked in administration at Bokers, Inc. for 27 years until retirement. Was an active member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church as treasurer, and other positions. Volunteered at Swedish Hospital, Metropolitan Boys Choir, Meals on Wheels, and Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Center. Travel included Hawaii, Alaska, Germany and Norway.
