Peggy was my close friend, and one of few people in my life who I loved deeply and with all of my heart. She was truly a Christian person, and she did so by the way she lived her life, not just because she attended church regularly and Went to Bible study. Her example did more for me than anything else. She never judged me, never told me how to live my life, and she didn’t care or flinch an eye when I told her I was agnostic. If there is a God, and I don’t
know whether there is or not, I know she is with him. I can just hear him saying, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant, Peggy A Hanzlik.”
If Peggy doesn’t make it to Heaven, if it does indeed exist, then nobody else will either. I was fortunate to be her friend, and I will carry her with me in my
heart until the day I die. I loved her deeply. I love her still.
Thank you, Jill. I know Mom loved you and truly enjoyed your friendship.
Our love and prayers go out to all of Peggy’s family. Growing up in Richfield Methodist Church, both Gordy and I have known her most of our life. We felt very fortunate to also have her as part of our extended family. Her warm smile, and sincere interest in knowing how we were and what we were doing always made us feel loved and cared for. She was a wonderful woman and will be so missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She was an angel on earth and is home now. God speed Peggy on your new journey and thank you for being a part in ours.
