Rebecca Bean Hoffman, "Becky", of Brooklyn Park, MN was born Oct. 21, 1965 in Waterloo, IA, to Earnest Bean, Sr. and Julie Farmer Bean. She graduated from Central High School in 1984 and went to serve in the Army in Rotterdam, Holland. She spent many years in the military, first in the Army and then the Air Force Reserves. On Oct. 17, 2009, she married the love of her life, John Hoffman. Rebecca graduated from the Dunwoody Institute in 1991 as a draft engineer in HVAC. She worked as an engineer at Ellerby Becket, Steen Engineering and was working for Dunham Associates at the time of her passing. She is survived by her husband, John; step-daughter, Shelley (Eric) Marbut; her parents, Earnest and Julie Bean and her brother, Earnest (Bucky) Bean, Jr; niece Kim (Dan) DeVore and three nephews, Jon (Brittani Joyner) Bean, Mike Bean and Isaac (Danii Hoffman) Bean; mother-in-law, Shirley Gillespie; two sisters-in-law, Julie (Kevin) McVay and Cathy Hoveman. She is also survived by a great-nephew, Daniel DeVore, Jr and a great-niece, Lyla Bean, and too many more loving nieces, nephews and friends to list. Becky loved spending time with family and friends and was a true MN Twins and Vikings fan. She will be greatly missed by all.
My heart breaks for you..I have known Becky since 4th grade,,threw school and girl scouts,church…here family was a family to me…bless you all..my heart goes out to you all god bless…

Becky was my first supervisor at the 934th. She was the leader I aspired to be. Always upbeat and willing to share her knowledge. I am unable to attend the services as I am now living in Kentucky. My thoughts and prayers go out to her loves ones.

Becky will be truly missed. She was of my favorite students at West Junior High School and served as an officer on the Student Council. My prayers and thoughts goes out to her family and friends.
