Ronald L. Trudeau
Age 76 of Mpls after a twenty-year spirited dance with Parkinson’s disease. Ron grew up in Incarnation Parish in South Minneapolis. He got his first job at The Vogue American Theater on Lake Street. He spent most of his adult professional career working in electronics at Honeywell. Ron was proud of his service in the U.S. Air Force, the highlight being an emergency deployment to Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He loved John F. Kennedy. Ron was madly in love with his wife for 52 years. Together, they raised three wild boys, all of whom became fine men. He was known to their Aldrich Avenue neighbors as the dad who could fix anything, including a gerbil’s broken tail. Ron is survived by his wife, Jacquie; his sons Mike, Doug and Matt Trudeau; his daughters-in-law Amy, Louise and Laura Trudeau. He was Pop to Kim Cameron. Also survived by siblings Elaine Thomas, Dennis Trudeau, Ardelle Gilbert, Marlys Kolhoff, Sharlene Hegland and David Trudeau; siblings-in-law Penny Trudeau, Jim Gilbert, Mike Hegland, Carol Trudeau, Doug Denham, Bonnie and Butch Addison. He was Bompa and baby-whisperer to Heather, Taylor, Meghan, Nick, Maddie, Giles, Emma and Josh Trudeau, Ava Addison and Fionna Hines. Also multi-generations of nieces and nephews. The family is especially grateful to the Struthers Parkinson’s Center, Dr. Martha Nance and Club Create for their loving involvement with Ron throughout his illness.
