Sharon A. Nordquist - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

February 25, 1946 - February 4, 2013

Sharon Ann Nordquist (nee, Donegan), age 66 of Bloomington, died February 4, 2013.  Survived by her husband of 43 years, Dean; son, Jeff (Katie); sisters, Patricia Cornwell and Kathleen (Gary Wold) Donegan; step-mother, Lenore Donegan of Seattle; nieces, Jaimee Cornwell and Alice (Nathan Daniels) Nordquist and grandchildren, Miles and Ella Nordquist.  Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Amy and brother, Mike.  Sharon passed away at home with dignity and grace, surrounded by family and friends.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to supporting and enriching her family.  Even in her last moments, she made every effort to encourage and reassure her loved ones with comfort and wit.  She was an artist, a craftswoman, and a lover of puzzles and games.  She hosted many wonderful parties, and made frequent use of her large collection of cookbooks.  She also enjoyed road trips, boat cruises on the Mississippi, and any other opportunity to spend time with her family.  Sharon was a beautiful, loving person and she will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations to cancer research would be preferred.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sharon was such a sweet woman who always was so friendly to me when ever I got to see her. She had a certain spunk that would always make you smile just being around her. She will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her. Take care and may peace be with you in this difficult time. – Adriane Reeves
