Shirley M. Marette

Shirley M. Marette (nee, Finnegan), age 85 of Richfield, passed away at her home on September 10th with her family at her side. Shirley was a very giving and caring person. That compassion led her to a career in nursing at Anchor Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children. She also volunteered at Fairview Southdale and the Veteran's Administration Hospitals. She was the World's Best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, volunteer and friend. She will be deeply missed forever by all those who knew her. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Mable Finnegan; 4 sisters and 4 brothers; and two infants, John and Mary's twin sister. Survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, George; children, Craig (Mary), Scott (Mary), Mark, Kim (Habib) Vafi, Keith (Laurie), Shelly (Jim Kirkham), Mary, Jackie (Greg) Hoglund, Patrick, and Kelly; grandchildren, Shawn, Mark, Brian, Jenni, Cameron, Connor, Connie, Jessica, Meaghan, Jacob, Karina, Brooke, Taylor, Jamie, Brandon, Brittany, Jack, Garett, Morgan, Ryan, Kian, Natalie, Nick and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Callie, Will, Chloe, Sam, Dylan, Genevieve, Kennedy, Mackenzie, Keira, Maeva, Bella and Finnley; as well as other relatives and friends.
