Sylvia T. Collison

Sylvia T. (Ogdahl) Swenson Collison, age 97, of Eden Prairie, passed away on June 5, 2019. She was born in Brooten, MN to Thomas and Bella Ogdahl. Sylvia was the 8th child of 7 sisters and 3 brothers in a home where Norwegian was the first language. She moved to Minneapolis after high school where she worked various jobs. She became a longtime employee of Richfield Public Schools. Sylvia enjoyed time with her family, cooking, baking, traveling and reading. She was a longtime member and volunteer at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by both her husbands, Howard Swenson and Robert Collison. Survived by son, David (Gale) Swenson; daughter, Diane (Roger) Allmendinger; step-children, Kathy (Lowell) Johnson, Jan (Dan) Black and Sue Schemm; grandchildren, Christopher (Joan) Swenson, Eric (Michelle) Swenson, Clare (Brian) Elsen, James (Kristi) Swenson, Mark Swenson, Derek (Carolyn) Allmendinger and Andrew (Alanna) Allmendinger; step-grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Braegelman, Justin Johnson, Alex and Jonathan Black; great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Luke Swenson, Addison and Aiden Swenson, Alana, Avery and Bennett Elsen, Oliver, Samuel and Madeline Swenson, Violet and Charlotte Allmendinger, Kelham and Niall Allmendinger; great-step-grandchildren, Grace, Jack, Ellie and Greta Braegelman; great-great grandson, David Swenson; sisters, Donna Berg and Mona Johnson.
