November 20, 1960 - February 8, 2025
Thomas Anton Iversen "Tom" passed away peacefully on Saturday February 8th 2025 with friends at his side.
Tom was preceded in death by his brother Paul, and his loving parents, Anton (Tony) and Mildred (Milie) Iversen.
Tom graduated from Tartan High School and received his bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University. Tom also attended the U.S. Sports Academy working on a degree in Sports Medicine.
Tom loved sports and his work as a sports trainer allowed him to stay close to the game. Tom worked for Richfield High School before joining the Cincinnati Reds Baseball organization as a trainer for some of their minor league teams; the Greensboro Hornets, Charleston Wheelers (South Atlantic League champions 1990), Princeton Reds and the Cedar Rapids Reds. During the off-seasons Tom worked for Coplin Physical Therapy spending time at different twin cities area high schools. Tom also spent time as a trainer with the then St. Paul Vulcans ice hockey team of the USHL (United States Hockey League). After baseball Tom worked for many years at Brooklyn Center High School as a trainer for multiple school sports teams and as a ticket representative for the Minnesota Twins. Tom loved the Twins organization and helping people find their perfect seat at Target Field.
Outside of sports Tom was an active member at Lutheran Church of Peace in Maplewood and a fan of history. Tom was also passionate about our democracy and took great pride in voting and in assisting others to register to vote. Tom proudly wore his “I voted” sticker after each election.
