Verdilla “Penny” Lord

Our dear mother, Verdilla (Penny) May Lord, born to Fred and Elsie Panning on May 7th, 1934, in Green Isle MN; died on August 3rd, 2023, in Edina, MN. She had a long, full life and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James Lord, and siblings: Harriet Schulz, Shelvie Olson, Marlene Panning (infant), Norman Panning, Leroy Panning, and Hillard Panning. 

She is survived by her son Michael James Lord, daughter Deborra Ann Jaggard, son-in-law Arthur M. Jaggard; grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Gilbertson (Steve), Andrew Eliott Jaggard; great-grandchildren Sylvester Gilbertson, Arthur Jaggard IV, Elijah Jaggard, Solara Jaggard, Artemis Jaggard and Abel Jaggard. She is further survived by siblings Bernice Deike, Marlys Roepke, Darlene Steffer, Sharon Birkholz, Stanley Panning (MaryAnn), and sister-in-law Carol Panning.

You are welcome to attend the memorial service we are holding in her honor at Woodlake Lutheran Church (2120 W 76th Street, Richfield, MN 55423) on August 31st, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. (visitation at 1:00 p.m.).
